Most of October was spent touring in outback Queensland with MusicaViva, working with students in remote communities. The tour was generously supported by the Tim Fairfax Family Foundation and Arts Queensland. I discuss the project in an interview with CutCommon, available here.
The recording of Dearest Mother... for soprano, viola & piano has been released by Wirripang. The album also includes works by Elliot Gyger, Diana Blom and Larry Sitsky. All works were commissioned for Halcyon, to commemorate the centenary of WWI. The album can be purchased here.
Spinning Top, a new piano trio commissioned by Andrea & Malcolm Hall-Brown for MusicaViva, will be premiered by The Benaud Trio at the Melbourne Recital Centre on November 7 2016. This will be followed by performances in Brisbane and Adelaide. Details here.
