'Ghosts' is a song cycle for mezzo-soprano and cello composed for Jenny Duck-Chong in 2020. The text is drawn from Richard James Allen’s collection of poetry, The Short Story of You and I, with the generous permission of the author. The song cycle consists of six movements based on the following poems:
