Velvet Drop has been included in Wirripang's new publication, Australian Women Composers’ Piano Anthology III.
The anthology includes 16 piano works by Australian Women Composers, for Grade 5 to advanced-level (Diploma) pianists. Edited by Katie Zhukov, each work is graded and includes recordings and pedagogical advice for teachers. This second volume of new piano repertoire by Australian women composers is a companion to the Australian Women Composers’ Piano Anthology (2015) published earlier by Wirripang.
Velvet Drop was commissioned by the Royal Academy of Dance as a set work for the 2016 Genée International Ballet Competition.
